The Neapolitan artistic and cultural heritage is immense. Every corner exudes magic and emotions. Between castles, historic streets, palaces and squares our eyes fill with wonder at every step. But the symbol of Naples is certainly Piazza del plebiscito. Located in the heart of the city, surrounded by the Basilica of San Francesco di Paola, the Royal Palace, the Prefecture Palace and the Salerno Palace, it is one of the largest squares in Italy.

Viterbo, Italy, April 18 -- Customers and tourists enjoy life in Piazza del Plebiscito in the historic heart of the medieval city of Viterbo, in central Italy. In the background, the Palazzo dei Priori, built in 1264 and also used as the seat of the Pontifical Government. In 1460 the building took on its current Renaissance style structure and is currently the Town Hall of Viterbo. The medieval center of Viterbo, the largest in Europe with countless historic buildings, churches and villages, stands on the route of the ancient Via Francigena (French Route) which in medieval times connected the regions of France to Rome, up to the commercial ports of Puglia, in southern Italy, to reach the Holy Land through the Mediterranean. Founded in the Etruscan era and recognized as a city in the year 852, Viterbo is characterized by its peperino stone and tuff constructions, materials abundantly present in this region of central Italy.
