Cairo, Egypt - November 22, 2011: At the frontline on Mohamed Mahmoud Street. The short break of throwing rocks and Molotov cocktail din't last for long as someone suddenly threw a Molotov cocktail straight on the police which responded by Riot gas and rubber bullets back at demonstrators.

Less than two weeks before the first free parliamentary elections in the history of Egypt were to take place, Egyptians once again took to the streets. Starting on November 18, massive daily protests filled Tahrir and the area around the square. What unified the demonstrators was the demand of a transfer from military rule to a civil state. For weeks, Tahrir was again filled with people from all walks of life. But, what started as a peaceful protest was soon met with tear gas and rubber bullets from riot police. More than 40 demonstrators were killed and several thousands were injured.
