Description

This file (only the LARGE version contains the cipping paths, per iStock's policy) contains 3 clipping paths (found in Photoshop's Paths palette), one for the page itself, one for the peel's underside, and one for the background, which isn't really necessary, but I include it anyway. Because of the symmetrical shading, this could be rotated for any of the 4 corners.

Instructions: Open in Photoshop and add three layers: one for the top 'page', one for its peeled back underside, and the third one (underneath these two) for the 'page' being revealed. Use the clipping paths (in the Path palette) to make layer masks for the top page and its underside (peel). Now double-click the bottom layer (which is our shadow file) to make it into a layer, and move it to the top. Set its layer mode to "multiply" to make it into a transparent overlay and apply the shadows.

Visual instructions

PLEASE NOTE: Jpegs cannot be transparent all by themselves, like a gif. When you make it into a Layer -> Multiply Mode in Photoshop, it is transparent.
