This vintage engraving is a facsimile of a tree bark drawing made by Aborigines of Victoria, Australia in the 1870s. There are many wonderful things going on in the drawing and worth taking a closer look, including animals, hunters, warfare, and tribal culture. The specific artist of the work is unknown. Published in an 1878 history of the Aborigines of Victoria, it is now in the public domain. Digital restoration by Steven Wynn Photography.
