Description
South Kensington Museum - now known as the Victoria & Albert Museum ('V&A') seen in an engraving from "Collins' Illustrated Guide to London and Neighbourhood", price one shilling; published by William Collins, Sons & Company, London, in 1871. The Museum was established in 1852, following on from the 1851 Great Exhibition, and moved to its current site in 1857. It is the world's greatest museum of art and design.
