Description

'This illustration portrays the speed and spirit of Thoroughbred Horse racing. This traditional watercolor was created and photographed by me, Sandy Sandy. Notice the variety of soft and hard edges. Here translucent watercolor shows off the granular imperfections of natural pigments. Interesting color transitions flow and mingle in an organic way, like only true watercolor paint can. This image was painted with real water, synthetic brushes and quality tube watercolors on handmade paper from France. I am very comfortable with this wet-into-wet watercolor technique and have been using the same methods and art materials for many years.'
