Description
An engraving of the Palm House at Kew Gardens from "Collins' Illustrated Guide to London and Neighbourhood", price one shilling; published by William Collins, Sons & Company, London, in 1871. The iconic Palm House was designed by Decimus Burton, built by Richard Turner and dates from 1844-8. Kew Gardens (more properly The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew) were created in 1759.
