Was in command of four ships and ten galleys at the battle of Pisttsburgh,lake champlain,sept,11,1814.For his victory he was handsomely rewarded by Congress,the states of New York and Vermont, and the cities of New York and Albany.Engraved and published in the Story a Great Nation by John Gilmary Shea and edited in New York by Gay Brothers & Company in 1884.Digital restoration by Pictore.'
