Neuron system hologram - 3d rendered video of Neuron cell network on black background. Hologram view interconnected neurons cells with electrical pulses. Conceptual medical image. Glowing synapse. Healthcare concept.
The insulin receptor (violet) is a transmembrane protein, that is activated by insulin (light green). Insulin binding induces structural changes within the receptor. These changes trigger a biochemical chain of events inside the cell, (signal transduction) that finally leads to the activation of the glucose transporter protein (orange), which transports the glucose (yellow) molecules into the cell.
Synapse and Neuron sending chemical signals

The calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP, yellow) is designed to bind to its receptor (blue). This occurs on the membranes of neurons and smooth muscle cells in cerebral (brain) blood vessels, activating a signal cascade through G-proteins (dark blue, bottom) that leads to a dilatation of brain blood vessels (vasodilatation). This is a factor in disorders such as migraines.
CARs are engineered cell receptors that allow T cells to recognize and attack cancer cells in a specific way. They are built by connecting several functional parts from different proteins.

The process of information transmission at a chemical synapse involves the release of neurotransmitters from the presynaptic neuron, their binding to receptors on the postsynaptic neuron, and subsequent changes in the postsynaptic neuron's membrane potential, which may lead to the generation of an action potential if the threshold is reached.Overall, these concepts form the foundation of our understanding of how nerve cells communicate with each other and how signals are transmitted within the nervous system.

Dengue Virus structure in 3D. Dengue virus (DENV) is the cause of dengue fever. It is a mosquito-borne single positive-stranded RNA virus of the family Flaviviridae; genus Flavivirus. Five serotypes of the virus have been found, all of which can cause the full spectrum of disease. Nevertheless, scientists are finding their understanding of dengue virus may be simplistic, as rather than distinct antigenic groups there appears to be a continuum. This same study identified 47 strains of dengue virus. Additionally, coinfection with and lack of rapid tests for zika virus and chikungunya complicate matters in real world infections.
