In Costa Rica the traditional way to make a cup of coffee is by using a “chorreador”. This is a wooden stand which holds a little cotton bag that is held open by a circular wire. Fine ground coffee is placed in this bag and boiling water is slowly poured in filtering down into a container (mug, cup, coffeepot). The result is a great cup of coffee known as 'café chorreado'
