The western toad (Anaxyrus boreas) more commonly known as (Bufo boreas) is a large toad species. It has a white or cream dorsal stripe, and is dusky gray or greenish dorsally with skin glands concentrated within the dark blotches. Its parotoid glands are oval, widely separated, and larger than the upper eyelids. It has a mottled venter and horizontal pupils but lacks cranial crests.

This is an Argentine horned frog (Ceratophrys ornata) on moss. They are native to Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay. They are insatiable eaters and will eat any creature that will fit into their mouths. They are also known as; Argentine wide-mouthed frog, wide-mouthed frog, or ornate pacman frog.

In a public park, on the surface of the pond, two Marsh frogs are side by side on the water surface. There is one rather green frog, the other rather brownish, but they are the same species. The frogs warm up in the sun and are on the lookout for an insect that might pass by.
