Description
The Abbey of Sant'Antimo is unique, one of the most significant architectural testimonies of the Romanesque era, which is inspired by transalpine and Lombard models. It is an important example of a monastic building built at the turn of the eleventh and twelfth centuries, whose magnificence is enhanced by the surrounding landscape, the pleasant valley of the Starcia stream, in which the presence of the olive tree is the characterizing element.
