Description
(Pinguicula vulgaris) Butterwort is a member of the Bladderwort family. This insectivore has yellowish-green leaves that secrete a sticky substance to attract insects. The insects are digested on the leaves for food. The flower spur is lavender with a white throat. There are two lobes which are two- lipped above and three lobes below. This is an endangered and rare plant at Mount Rainier National Park.
