It’s coastline is bordered with the Beauty Firth, Moray Firth, Ness River and Caledonian Canal.  This is the view from South Kessock looking towards the ‘Black Isle’ peninsula.  The village of Charleston in North Kessock is visible.  The famous ‘Kessock bridge’ spans the Beauly Firth, connecting the Black Isle peninsula and Inverness.  A cable style bridge with a length of 1,056 metres.  It carries the A9 trunk road ‘North Coast 500’ route.   Designed by German engineer Hellmut Homberg, it was completed in 1982.
