Description

Extra Extra Extra Large will print to up to three foot by two foot. This collage tells the story of an island in the Venetian Lagoon. The colour of the houses follow a specific system. When an owner wishes to paint their house they have to send a request to their government, who will respond by letting the owner know which specific colours are permitted for that area. This practice has resulted in the myriad of warm, pastel colours that characterizes the island today. Or is the legend the true reason for these colours, which has it that the houses were painted by fishermen to recognize them from far off distances during the long periods of absence whilst fishing.
