Description
"Dark brown fossil dinosaur bones from the Jurassic (140 to 135 million years ago) can be recognized by their rusty brown color, their shapes and smooth texture. These bones quarried here in 1870 were from a stegosaurus and brontosaur, a long necked sauropod and were from small vertebrae and long leg bones. A hand is placed in the photo for scale below the dinosaur bone. The fossil bones are located at Dinosaur Ridge in Morrison, Colorado, just outside Denver."
