Hispanic Catholic Mission Espada is oldest of the East Texas missions from early 1700s with one of the most beautifully ornate arched entryways. Espada is also the only mission of this group in which brick was produced and used along with stone in its construction. The unusual entry arch is thought to have been a mason's mistake! San Antonio, Texas, 2008.
