Viña del Mar, Chile - July 24, 2016: Beautiful 2.200 mt.2 palace built around 1907. It belonged to Fernando Rioja, a wealthy man who had it designed and built by the french architect Alfredo Azancot, as his permanent residence. It was purchased by the town hall in 1956, holding from then on an important collection of fine art pieces from XIX and XX century, most of them pieces of furniture, tapestry, and decorations that belonged to wealthy chilean families at that time. It also held, since then, the academy of music Isidor Handler until the reconstruction began, after the 2010 earthquake which damaged it seriously. It was recovered and opened to the public in may 2016.
