Sahakari Spice Farm : Located at a distance of just 2 kilometers from Ponda, the Sahakari organic spice plantation is famous for its farms and grows many fruits. It is quite popular as a tourist attraction. One of the most unique spices grown here is vanilla, but Black pepper, Cardamom, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Cloves, Chillies, Coriander, Cashew and Betel nut palm can be found. The farm is spread over 130 acres and also has two small streams flowing right through. After the visit of the plantation, enjoying folk dance, elephant splashing or riding,guests enjoy a meal in the restaurant at the farm in a unique nature set up amongst well maintained vegetation. the Restaurant has been designed in a very rustic manner, wherein the guests are able to relax in a very natural atmosphere, typical to what the farm has to offer. Roof of Coconut Palms, Benches made of wooden planks, serving bowls of coconut shells, the fragrance of rich spices, the chirping of birds, all this and more constitute this calm and relaxing environment. Lunch in the restaurant is served in earthen pots and is eaten in plates specially made of Banana leaves.
