Description
Akçapınar is a small and cozy village 25 kilometers (20 min) away from Marmaris. It is located on the main road connecting Marmaris to Muğla, which makes it easily accessible. A large part of the village is settled on the plains, and the rest is on the slopes of the lower hills. The Akçapınar Creek (Akçapınar Azmağı) passes through the village, forms a small delta and flows into Gökova Gulf in Akçapınar (Kitesurf) Beach. Although, there are many boutique hotels and villas around, the serenity of the green nature around is enough to meet the image of a "village" in our minds. The citrus gardens and flower fields form very pleasant view, especially in spring. The most important visitors of Akçapınar in spring time are the storks. They have been shuttling between Africa and Gökova for thousands of years. They lay eggs and have their incubation period in Akçapınar.
