Description
The Municipal Palace of Guayaquil from "Torre del Reloj" or Torre Morisca at Malecon 2000, also known as Cabildo porteño or simply as Municipality, is the seat of the Very Illustrious Municipality of the city, that is, the Municipal Council and the Mayor's Office. This building was built in 1921 by the architect Francesco Maccaferri, in the same place where the old Town Hall was located, which functioned as a colonial town hall and was later demolished in 1908.
