Villa de Leyva, Colombia - Pools of water near the Andes town of Villa de Leyva, known locally as Pozos Azules, or translated into English, Blue Pools. The area is semi arid and like a desert in certain places. Even though the elevation today is over 7000 feet above mean sea level, millions of years ago all of this area was under the sea: it is therefore not difficult to imagine why the land today is a semi desert.
