Focus is on the bible in the foreground, while the background consists of the defocused interior of the church. Wooden pews recede into the distance and the lights illuminating the church appear as out of focus balls of light. The church has a warm, welcoming orange glow. Lots of room for copy space.

A stunning study of 13 images of the interior of the historical Cathedral of Lincoln in Eastern England. The intricate styling, the sheer scale of the building, the gothic arches, stained glass windows, screens, gargoyles and cloisters are all depicted in all their glory. This landmark building, once the tallest in the world (in the 11th Century) is Lincoln's main tourist attraction with some 180,000 visitors per year and these images are unusual in that they are completely free of people. The spirituality and atmosphere of the building are accordingly well-captured in this unique series of photos.
