Carmona, Sevilla, Spain-October 2012. Located on the very top of a hill that dominates wide horizons. Built during the Muslim domination, it was, like so many other fortifications in the area, reused by King Don Pedro and after him, by the Catholic Monarchs, who would sponsor different interventions in order to beautify and modernize the whole and condition it for the room. The castle, with a regular floor plan, is strongly compartmentalized according to its defensive purpose. The main nucleus is accessed through a drawbridge that spans the moat and a first fortified perimeter, after which opens a courtyard that overlooks the various rooms of the palace - residence, all richly decorated. The tower presides over the set of the homage.
