Red deer stag with hinds (Cervus elaphus). This stag went mostly unchallenged for a couple of hours, chasing off a couple of sub-adult males and rounding up one or two straying females. His temporary harem of forty or so females was, in the main, content to sit and watch. This is a scene from the autumn rut at Richimond Park, Surrey, England.
