The ibex is found throughout Eurasia, North Africa, and East Africa. The male ibex is larger and heavier than the female. The most noticeable difference being the large size of the male horns. The female has smaller, thinner horns which develop more slowly than the male. The ibex is born with horns and the horns continue to grow throughout the rest of the ibex’s life.
