Monastery Weltenburg Donau Bavaria Germany

Above the town of Kelheim, at the confluence of the Altmühl and the Danube, this monument stands in memory of the battles won against Napoleon from 1813 to 1815. The large statues on the outside of the rotunda are representative of the German tribes that were involved in the battles.
