Although the Catkins [spike like flowering heads] of a plant commonly known as Honey Mesquite aren't the traditional flower form, they still have allure for viewers and pollinators. Their feather like foliage and thorned twigs are a few their distinct features. Taxonomically ranked as Prosopis Glandulosa [obscure Burdock, glandular], they can be witnessed, as a large shrub or small tree, here, in the partially developed margins of 29 Palms. Future generations, however, may not be able to experience the Pre Contact species of the locale, unless we all start to make efforts towards conservation.
