The Welchman Hall Gully is a paradise of trees, bushes and flowers with a path that allows you to see almost 200 species of tropical plants and to imagine what the island was like 300 years ago. It was bought by the Barbados National Trust in 1962, and was their first property. They continued to develop the gully by adding more exotics trees and ornaments, thus creating a tropical forest, mixed with Barbadian and other exotic tropical plants. St. Thomas, Barbados.

The prehistoric Drove Road is a route than ran along the ridge of the Quantock Hills in Somerset all the way to Watchet harbour. It was probably a vital trading route using the dry land above the surrounding Somerset Levels which were flooded and impassable especially in Winter. Today, it is lined with ancient beech trees and is a popular route for horse riders, cyclists and walkers.
