Popocatépetl - "the hill that smokes", is an active volcano located in central Mexico. It has a symmetrical conical shape, and is linked by the northern part with the Iztaccíhuatl by a mountain pass known as Paso de Cortés and has perennial glaciers near the mouth of the cone.
