Church covered by drifting sand dune The church, with the name Sct. Lawrence church was supposedly built in the second half of the 1300s and was at that time the largest in Vendsyssel. Sand drift started in the 16th century, reached the church in the late 1700s. The congregation had to dig in when there was worship. This struggle lasted until 1795 when the church after royal order was closed down. Only the tower remains as a visible reminder.
