Southwold, Suffolk, England - February 22, 2014. The working harbour offers both permanent and short stay moorings, and facilities such as a harbour master's office, chandlery, boat storage and parking, boat building and restoration. In addition to the boats and moorings, the image shows a number of riverside houses, The Harbour Inn public house, the sailing club and fish shacks where visitors can buy fresh fish.

"Lighthouse rises above the roofs and chimney pots of Southwold in Suffolk, UKSouthwold Lighthouse is a lighthouse in Southwold, Suffolk, England. It was constructed by Trinity House from 1887 and was taken into service in 1890."

Southwold, England, October 2020. An atmospheric & timely collection of 8 images from the East Anglian seaside resort of Southwold on the English North Sea Coast. This often (over-)crowded beach resort features expansive sands, normally covered with people but in Lockdown and out-of-season in the Autumn of 2020 these images tell a very different story of abandonment and isolation. The complete absence of any people on all eight shots but with signs of humanity, such as footprints in the sand too numerous to count, give a feeling of eerily rapid evacuation reminiscent of wartime but with an invisible enemy. The dramatic moody skies in all 8 images adds to the feeling of emptiness and desolation in these memorable, unique images. This fifth picture in the series is characterised by the half-buried pillars of a groyne which leads the viewer out to sea, due east and to a dramatic horizon where the cloud meets the sea and a lone oil tanker can be seen on the high sea at the vanishing point.

A striking series of 7 images of the Suffolk Coast line from Dunwich, near Southwold, Suffolk, England, in November 2021. The glowing yellow-gold warmth of autumn sunlight in the late afternoon (around 4pm) give these breath-taking images extra depth & colour creating an unusually tranquil & idyllic scene as well as a different perspective on a well-known view. Individual image descriptions are as follows: Image 6 - Two empty benches invite the viewer to sit and enjoy the extensive, first class views to the South from Dunwich to Sizewell across the extensive marshland and the dunes. Sizewell B Nuclear Power Station is a tiny speck on the horizon and is barely visible or recognisable, which given its size shows the minimal visual impact it has on the surrounding landscape. The deep blue sky, the low level sunlight and the deep, rich colours bring out the natural beauty of this unique coast.
