Masca Gorge is a narrow valley in the north-west of the island of Tenerife. The gorge is situated within the Teno Massif. The gorge is a popular tourist destination due to its dramatic scenery and unique geology. An eight-kilometre long walking trail begins at Masca village and continues for the length of the gorge to finish at Masca beach.

Marked by a candy-cane-colored lighthouse, Punta de Teno is a rocky headland that forms the northwestern tip of Tenerife. This cinematic location in Teno Rural Park (Parque Rural de Teno) delivers godly views of the Los Gigantes cliffs (Acantilado de Los Gigantes). Because car access is restricted, Teno Point is delightfully uncrowded during the day.

Buenavista is the last northern town in Tenerife, the road ends here, beyond which all you find is the rocky fortress of the Teno Mountains.

Teno Rural Park is situated on the northwestern tip of the island of Tenerife, in the old massif with the same name. This is an area of great scientific and naturalistic interest, with vast forests, steep cliffs, a rocky and indented coast and a variety of animal and plant ecosystems. Punta de Teno, Tenerife Island, Spain

This mountainous area, at over 1,300 metres above sea level, covers the extreme eastern part of Tenerife and is almost completely surrounded by the sea. In fact, in the distant past Teno was a small separate island, which then joined with other sections to become a single mass of land that is today called Tenerife. This relative geographic isolation has meant the ravines and narrow valleys have conserved a unique biodiversity, architecture and set of customs and habits, which you probably won't find in the Tenerife of mass tourism and populated resorts.
