"Use this to illustrate your booklet, sized to exactly fit a 5.5- x 8.5-inch layout. Just save your cover as a pdf, open that pdf in Photoshop, and size it to fit the cover here. There's a clipping path for the cover to make it easier to create a mask. See other useful paper effects for the graphic artist:"

This file contains two clipping paths, one for the top page, and one for the peel's underside. Because of the symmetrical shading, this could be rotated for any corner.

"Small nest about 3 inches in diameter, side view. Nest is made of grasses, twigs, and rootlets."

"Statue of St. Francis of Assisi outside Gloria Dei Episcopal Church, built from 1879 to 1885 in Palenville, in upstate New York. He's holding a dish with a bird perched on it. St. Francis is the patron saint for animals, charged with protecting them and the environment."

Closer up version also available in my portfolio. Traditionally, the fresh or dried whole plant has been used as a homeopathic herbal medicine to treat nervous anxiety and insomnia. Petals, stamens and pistils have Christianity symbolism of the crown of thorns.

"This page peel is angled to allow for some copy, and unlike lots of ill-drawn corners seen in advertising, it was authentically constructed by this old-world technical illustrator, then hand-shaded in Photoshop. When you use the supplied clipping paths to mask off your main image, base and underside (if you want it other than white), it's awesome! Just add a little type and you're good to go. Please see sample. Top version also available."

Ah, the big debate as to whether the toilet paper hangs over or under the roll. This image is under; see accompanying image for over.

"Yes folks, this funny instrument with a skinny bare thingie on one end and a bulb on the other is an English horn. Use it this image with confidence; I play the thing and this is what it really is."

Well worn rolling pin with a beautiful aged patina. Focus on handle. Isolated on white.

Turning page, lifting up to reveal a page beneath. Clipping paths for top page, underside, and bottom page. The page is sized to perfectly fit a Canon 5D image (with extra space on the left to accomodate the lifted corner). The page is precisely drawn so the uplifted page is a true match to the page underneath, if you follow me. In other words, don't crop the bottom. Extend the top if you like though.

"Cranberries grow on thin vines with tiny leathery leaves, and spreads like a ground cover. Shown here is genuine cranberry foliage, pulled from a bog in South Jersey."

"Clump of pomegranate (Punica granatum) seeds and scattered individual seeds, isolated on white with a nice space for your copy. Pomegranates are widely used in middle eastern and mediterranean culture. It is called a super fruit because of its many health benefits, such as being an antioxidant and having a high concentration of vitamin C. Some cultures grind up the seeds and eat them too. However, growing up in Texas, we used to have contests to see who could spit the seeds the farthest. Grenadine syrup is thickened and sweetened pomegranate juice."

"Early morning at Devil's Tower. Located in the Black Hills in Wyoming, Devil's Tower is a popular rock climbing destination."

Side view of a pink peony and its leaves, with both a reflection in the shiny white surface, and a cast shadow, on a white background.

2-day old fawn, with late day sun sparkling through the woods in the background. You can see tiny bumps where his antlers will eventually come in. White-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus). Video also available.

This is an oboe, the woodwind that sits next to the flutes in an orchestra. Use this image with confidence; I am an oboe player, and this is indeed an oboe. Many people see a long black woodwind and think "clarinet". Or they hear the word oboe, and think "that big long instrument that looks like a bedpost" (no, that's a bassoon). Anyway, this is the genuine article, the instrument that plays the duck in Peter and the Wolf. Isolated on white.

"Well, I had another blessed event with this plant this year, and shot a new series. The night-blooming cereus only blooms at night, and what a show it performs. The flower is as big as a grapefruit, is a beautiful as the plant is ugly, and perfumes the air in the whole room."

Straight on view of a beautiful pink camellia with leaves

Low tide sunset on Pfeiffer Beach on California's Central Coast. The sand there is purple; add a pink sunset and you get a very cool-toned scene. A stream feeds in from the lower left (which is where the pink sand comes from - it is manganese garnet washed out of the surrounding mountains).

"The car has just been lifted out of the river. It is still raining lightly, and you can see this in the full size image. This is a special wrecker truck with a boom to lift cars from places an ordinary tow truck can't get to. More images in my portfolio."

"Half of a Sicilian Eggplant, and a whole one. A popular variety at South Jersey farm stands. Isolated on white."

Oboe, double reed woodwind, orchestra musical instrument. Believe it or not, this is what the oboe's mouthpiece looks like. It's two thin, fragile pieces of cane tied together with nylon thread onto a metal tube with cork wrapped around it. This is shoved into a hole in the top of the oboe, and the player puts this between his or her lips and blows. Not only that, but the oboe player actually has to handcraft these things themselves, and they only last a few weeks with regular playing.

Hands scooping out the seeds and pulp before carving the jack o'lantern.

"Fresh green White Oak leaves silhouetted against bright green spring color, found in the woods in New Jersey. White oaks have rounded lobes."

Ah, the big debate as to whether the toilet paper hangs over or under the roll. This image is over; see accompanying image for under.

A pair of tiny Anna's Hummingbird eggs in California. I climbed on a step ladder to get this shot. I had to work quickly since the mother was buzzing me and anxious to get back on her nest.

Mitchell, South Dakota, USA - September 18, 2011: Mitchell\'s Corn Palace in Mitchell, SD is decorated fresh every year with a new design. The mosaics on the outside are made of various naturally colored corn cobs, husks, tassels, and stalks. The theme for 2011 is \"American Pride\". The facility hosts stage shows, as well as sports events in its arena.

Crystal sphere refracting a riot of colors. A spherical prism. The object is clear glass; natural prismatic coloring.

"This circular sticker (rotate to make the peel on upper right) is accurately constructed in PHOTOSHOP based on a photograph of how a circle actually would look when an edge is peeled up. After drawing correct bezier curves, I saved them into three different paths for your convenience (ONLY THE LARGE SIZE COMES WITH PATHS - this is iStock's policy). After hand-painting the shadows, I painstakingly worked on them to eliminate banding. This is not a vector file, but a jpeg file with vector clipping paths. Use this file to create your own sticker images with photographic content, or to combine with your Photoshop layouts."

This could be any village's High Street sign (In the UK, High Street is what they call Main Street in the US, a generic term). It was taken in Avebury, UK, famous for the Avebury Stone Circle.

"My corner peel was such a hit that I made a few companions for it. Page turning to reveal a page beneath. Clipping paths for top page, underside, and bottom page. The page is sized to perfectly fit a Canon 5D image (with extra space on the bottom to accomodate the lifted corner). The page is precisely drawn so the uplifted page is a true match to the page underneath, if you follow me. In other words, don't crop the right side. Extend the left if you like though. To use: open file and bring in your top and bottom images. Make a layer for the underside of the peel too. Use the clipping paths to mask off the top page, the underside, and bottom page. Move the supplied shadow image as the top layer and set its mode to multiply for an instant transparent shadow."

"Temperature/pressure/humidity sensor, wind vane and anemometer from a backyard personal weather station. The part on the left encloses the thermometer, barometer (air pressure) and hygrometer (humidity), and the other pieces measure wind direction and wind speed. "Golden setting sun illuminates Vasquez Rocks and a yucca plant in foreground. The dramatic tilted rocks in the Vasquez Rocks County Park in Agua Dulce, California have been used in movies and television for the past 100 years. Countless westerns and many Star Trek episodes were filmed here. Vasquez Rocks Park is in Los Angeles County and very close to the studios in Hollywood and Burbank. The tilted rocks are part of the San Andreas Fault which cuts through this area between Santa Clarita and Palmdale."

"The latest in my paper effects and clipping path series, this circular certificate sticker is accurately constructed in PHOTOSHOP based on a photograph of how a circle actually would look when an edge is peeled up. There are three different paths for your convenience. After hand-painting the shadows, I painstakingly worked on them to eliminate banding. This is not a vector file, but a jpeg file with vector clipping paths. Use this file to create your own sticker images with photographic content, or to combine with your Photoshop layouts."

"View looking southeast, with Mesa Arts Center in the background (the blue building) and parking garage in the foreground."

A typical cluster of farm buildings with soybean field in foreground. Includes an old fashioned windmill. See 2 vertical versions:

"Thunbergia, or Black-eyed Susan vine is an perennial in tropical climates, but grown as an annual in other places. Clear, flat orange flowers an inch or two in diameter have a black center that is actually the very dark purple interior of the tubular throat."
