I have an existing iStock subscription. Can I upgrade to Premium + Video?

You can upgrade any existing Basic or Premium annual subscription into our Premium + Video plan (monthly subscriptions can't be upgraded mid-term). Pricing will be determined by how much time is remaining on your current subscription.

Depending on your location, you may be able to upgrade yourself by signing in to your account and scroll up to the top of this page, then click or tap the "Upgrade to Premium + Video" button. Alternatively, you can also upgrade from your profile page.

We're working to allow everyone to upgrade on the site, but if you don't have that option yet, or want to switch to any other plan, you can contact us anytime—we'd be happy to help you!

What happens to my unused downloads if I upgrade to a Premium + Video subscription?

We'll add any remaining downloads (up to 250) from your current plan to your new subscription balance. You can use them for any future downloads (photos, illustrations, or video clips) as long as your subscription is active.

Will certain content, like videos from the Signature collection for example, use more than one subscription download?

No. Every asset—whether it's a photo, illustration, vector, or video—will use a single subscription download regardless of size, resolution, or collection it belongs to.

If I upgrade my subscription, will I have to pay for the full plan value upfront?

If you're upgrading to a Premium + Video subscription from an existing plan, your payment method and billing schedule will reflect the choices you made when you first subscribed:

• If you're currently billed monthly or quarterly, your payments will continue on that schedule.
• If you made a single payment, you'll be charged upfront for the total cost of the upgrade.

Pricing will be determined by how much time is remaining on your current subscription.

I have an existing annual iStock subscription. If I upgrade to Premium + Video, will it restart a full 12-month commitment?

No. The upgrade will only apply to the number of months remaining in your subscription. The cost of your upgrade will be calculated based on the payments you've already made.

What happens if I don't use all of my subscription downloads each month?

Your subscription gives you access to a set number of downloads each month. You can rollover up to 250 unused downloads month to month if you've got an annual subscription or a subscription with auto-renew enabled. If auto-renew is disabled when your subscription term ends, you will lose all rollover downloads that you've accrued.

I’m interested in video, but my current subscription includes 750 downloads a month. What are my options?

Our Premium + Video subscription lets you choose between 10, 25, and 50 monthly downloads. If you're interested in adding video but also have a larger content need, contact us. We can help customize a plan that's right for you.

I recently purchased a credit pack. Can I exchange it and apply the value towards a Premium + Video subscription?

We'll gladly refund credit pack purchases made within 14 days of your invoice date, provided you haven't used any credits from the credit pack. Contact us so we can help put you in a plan that better suits your needs.

I don’t need access to premium Signature collection content. Is there a plan that includes only images and videos from the Essentials collection?

Not at this time. But you can always purchase credits to download video clips. This is a great way to supplement a Basic subscription, which provides access to all the photos, illustrations, and vectors from our Essentials collection.

Do my licensed image and video downloads ever expire?

There is no expiration date on your rights to use files downloaded during your subscription period.
Files licensed with credits can also be used in as many projects as you like, for as long as you want. Credits never expire as long as you sign into your account at least once a year.

Can I share my subscription with my teammates?
