The ruins of the bronze age site at Jarlshof, Shetland Islands, Scotland. The site dates back to about 2000BC and has had various additions until the 17th century when the Old House of Sumburgh was completed. The walls and paving in the image are from the Norse period when the Vikings ruled the Shetland Isles.
