'Scanned directly from an original Georgian print by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd, published in 1829.This engraving of 'Westminster Abbey and St Margaret's Church' was drawn by Thomas H Shepherd and engraved by W Wallis, from 'London and its Environs in the Nineteenth Century'.Thomas Hosmer Shepherd (1792aa1864) was an artist well known for his architectural works, he was employed to illustrate architecture in London, and later Edinburgh, Bath and Bristol. Shepherd's work is characterised by an attention to detail, along with life-like scenes that contained people, carriages and horses.'
