The July Column (French: Colonne de Juillet) is a monument to the Revolution of 1830. The July Column (French: Colonne de Juillet) is a monumental column in Paris commemorating the Revolution of 1830. It stands in the center of the Place de la Bastille and celebrates the Trois Glorieuses — the "three glorious" days of 27–29 July 1830 that saw the fall of King Charles X of France and the commencement of the "July Monarchy" of Louis-Philippe, King of the French. It was built between 1835 and 1840.

Every building is separate, complete, and highly detailed. From left to right: La Defense Grande Arche, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, Dome des Invalides, L’arc de triomphe du Carrousel, Place de la Concorde Obelisk, French institute, Colonne Vendome, Notre Dame Cathedral, Sacre Coeur, Colonne de Juillet, and Pantheon.

The Storming of the Bastille occurred in Paris, France, on the afternoon of 14 July 1789. The medieval fortress, armory, and political prison in Paris known as the Bastille represented royal authority in the centre of Paris. It links the Canal Saint-Martin, which begins at the Place de la Bastille, to the Seine river. During the nineteenth century and most of the twentieth, the Bassin de l'Arsenal was a commercial port where goods were loaded and unloaded.The port was converted into a leisure port in 1983 by a decision of the Mairie de Paris .
