The photograph was taken on the island of Flores (Azores) between September 5 and 9, 2020. The photograph shows the crater lake of Lagoa da Lomba. It is one of the seven lagoons on the island. It is located in the central mountains of the island and is 550 meters above sea level. Flores is the westernmost island of the Azores archipelago in Europe. The island is of spectacular visual grandeur; lakes, natural pools, waterfalls, beaches, viewpoints, forests, craters ... It has been a Biosphere reserve since 2009. Along the coast there are cliffs and caves that can only be seen from a boat, to recommend the one that departs from Corvo towards Flores. Of all the ones I have visited, this is undoubtedly the most impressive.
