Cornhill, the town square in Ipswich, Suffolk, Eastern England, with a branch of Lloyds Bank and the entrance to Lloyds Avenue. Lloyds Avenue was cut through in 1929 to give access for traffic from Tower Ramparts to Cornhill. The Cornhill area has been the historic centre of Ipswich since at least the 16th century, when it saw the execution of the Ipswich Martyrs. Cornhill frequently hosts popular events and markets.

Formerly Ipswich Docks, the Waterfront, though still under redevelopment, is now a lively and trendy area with new apartment blocks, the University of Suffolk, marinas, bars and cafés and is buzzing with people on summer evenings and at weekends. Ipswich is the county town of Suffolk in Eastern England and is one of the oldest towns in England.
