Description
A suggestive summer view at the first light of the morning of Via della Conciliazione, near St. Peter's Square, in the historic heart of Rome. The construction of this avenue, which took place after the signing of the Lateran Pacts in 1929 between the Italian State and the Holy See, caused the demolition of a large part of the ancient Borgo district and some historic buildings. In 1980 the historic center of Rome was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco. Image in high definition format.
