Description
Ethiopia: aerial view of Africa's Great Rift Valley - This tectonic fault stretches in Africa for about 3,000 kilometers in length from North to South, from Eritrea to Mozambique, passing through the great African lakes. It cuts the Horn of Africa in two: the Somali plate to the east moves away from the African plate to the west. If fracking continues, the Great East African Rift can generate a three-branched sea, separating Arabia, the African Plate, and a Somali Island Plate to the East.
