Alfresco dining at the charming hilltop village of Mougins, in Provence, near Cannes. The village of Mougins has been frequented and inhabited by many artists and celebrities over the years, including Pablo Picasso, Jean Cocteau, Fernand Leger, Man Ray, Yves Saint Laurent, Christian Dior, Winston Churchill, Catherine Deneuve, Edith Piaf and Jacques Brel, but perhaps it’s most famous resident has been Pablo Picasso, spent the last 12 years of his life here, dying in 1973. The village has a strong culinary history with such great chefs as Roger Vergé and Alain Ducasse running restaurants in the village.
