Description
The Sierra de Llaberia is a mountain range in the Catalan Prelitoral Range between the Prades Mountains and the Tivissa-Vandellòs Mountains. Characteristic of this mountain range are the very regular and clear limestone cliffs. Administratively, the mountain range extends through areas of the municipalities of Colldejou and Pratdip, in the Baix Camp, and from Tivissa to Ribera d'Ebre, with a maximum elevation of 918.3 meters. Llaberia and Colldejou are two large massifs that exceed 900 meters in height at the highest points, with powerful cliffs that encircle the system. The predominant materials are limestone, such as limestone rocks, marls and dolomites of the Triassic and Jurassic, despite the presence of some outcrops of sandstones and siliceous conglomerates.
