Description
The Dead Sea at nearly 400mtrs below sea level is claimed to be the lowest point on earth. So called because of high salinity preventing fish and aquatic plants from living in it, it is a salt water lake in the Jordan Rift Valley bordered by Jordan to the east and the West Bank and also Israel to the west, with its main tributary being the Jordan River
