Description
Thaipusam Festival is dedicated to Lord Muruga and symbolizes the triumph of good over evil. During this festival, devotees pierce parts of their body, cheeks and tongue and many even carry a Kavadi. This traditional event at Batu Caves has become the largest Thaipusam gathering in the world attracting millions of pilgrims annually. It’s also one of the most colorful and vibrant either religious or cultural based festival event in Malaysia.
