Description
Koi Nobori, the carp-shaped windsocks flying high in the sky, is typical landscape of April and early May throughout Japan, celebrating ‘Children’s Day’ of May 5, which is designated as national holiday. The custom is based on the wishes that the children will grow up healthy and strong. The photo was taken at Miura Coast/Beach on a day with strong wind in early May.
