Description
Very variable medium to tall perennial, to 1,5m; stems hairless. leaves pinnate or pinnately-lobed, toothed or untoothed, the lower long-stalked, the upper much smaller and unstalked. Flowers pink or white, hermaphrodite, 4-8mm long, in almost rounded clusters. Fruit hairy or hairless. Habitat: Meadows, ditches, damp shaded places. Flowering Season: June-August. Distribution: W Europe, Denmark, Iceland. In the Netherlands the Species is very common along Ditches. Varian is well known as Herbal Medicine ( the Roots are used).
