Description
Gorilla (scientific name: Gorilla) is the general name for the great apes of the genus Gorilla, subfamily Hominidae, order of primates. It includes two species: the eastern gorilla and the western gorilla. It is the largest primate, with a shoulder height of about 0.85 meters when all four legs are independent, and a sudden shoulder height of 1.6-1.8 meters. The height of the erect gorilla can reach 1.75 meters. Because the gorilla's knees cannot fully extend, their actual body length is longer than this height. Large, weighing 130-180 kg, females 60-100 kg.
