Description
"A molecular model of HCFC-123, a common hydrochlorofluorocarbon or Freon. It is used as a refrigerant. As a replacement for CFCs, or chlorofluorocarbons, HCFCs have a lesser (but still very significant) destructive effect on the ozone layer. However, HCFCs are still extremely effective greenhouse gases with a very high global warming potential. The Montreal Protocol agreed that developed nations would phase out the use of HCFCs by 2020 and developing nations by 2030.Isolated on white."
